Khurrana visited Jalna, where he spent time with children and their families and witnessed UNICEF-supported work on the ground. Sharing photographs and his reflections on Instagram, he described the experience as one he would “carry with me for a long time”.

The visit also brought attention to challenges that can affect children's access to education. During his interactions, local girls shared concerns about poor road conditions and the safety of their journey to school. Khurrana received their letters and personally handed them over to the District Collector, while also discussing the issue with local officials.

Reflecting on the experience, Khurrana said the visit gave him a different perspective on what it takes to build a safe and hopeful future for children. He particularly noted the strong sense of community he witnessed, with families and local communities coming together to support their children.

“What stayed with me was the sense of community, of people coming together, showing up for their children and creating hope in ways both big and small,” he wrote.

Khurrana also expressed gratitude to UNICEF India for giving him the opportunity to experience its grassroots work first-hand, ending his post with the message #ForEveryChild, protection.

The field mission focused on the importance of child safety, rural infrastructure and removing barriers that can prevent children, particularly girls, from accessing education.

Khurrana has previously participated in UNICEF campaigns in urban centres including Delhi and Mumbai, as well as at the Women's World Cup. This visit marked his first rural field mission with the organisation and offered him a closer look at the challenges and community-led efforts shaping children's lives beyond India's cities.

Khurrana continues to balance his film career with his advocacy work. He was recently seen in Pati Patni Aur Woh Do and is set to appear in Sooraj Barjatya's Ye Prem Mol Lia alongside Sharvari. He will also star opposite Sara Ali Khan in Udta Teer, produced by Dharma Productions and Sikhya Entertainment, which is scheduled for release on October 9.
