Storyline: The story follows Peter Parker as he deals with life after choosing to stay away from the people he loves. It mixes emotional moments with action and introduces a new villain played by Sadie Sink. Her character has clear reasons for what she does, making her easy to understand even if she's the villain.

Visuals: The film has a noticeably muted colour palette and a darker look that match Peter's emotional isolation. The action sequences remain visually stunning, with spectacular web-swinging moments.

Performance: Tom Holland delivers one of his strongest performances, capturing Peter's emotional conflict, vulnerability and determination. Zendaya returns as MJ, bringing an emotional depth, while Jacob Batalon provides comic relief as Ned. Sadie Sink makes an impressive addition to the franchise, delivering an emotionally layered villainous performance.

Direction: Destin Daniel Cretton gives Spider-Man: Brand New Day a fresh identity. He makes great use of practical effects and stunts alongside CGI, making the action feel more realistic.

Areas for Improvement: Jon Bernthal's Punisher is underused, and it would have been nice to see more of his character. The post-credit scene also doesn't offer the big surprise fans were expecting.

Verdict: Spider-Man: Brand New Day is an enjoyable Spider-Man film with great action, strong performances, and an emotional story. Tom Holland once again proves why he's perfect for the role, and Destin Daniel Cretton brings a fresh style to the franchise. It's a film that's worth watching on the big screen.
