Sobhita Dhulipala Embodies Divine 'Devi' in Rahul Mishra's ICW Finale

The India Couture Week 2026 recently concluded with a grand final which was a unique and unforgettable. Actress Sobhita Dhulipala was quite the showstopper in Rahul Mishra's visionary couture transforming into a divine Devi on the runway by blending high fashion along with theatrical storytelling.
Rahul Mishra brought his acclaimed Devi: The Eternal Muse collection home to India Couture Week 2026 after its grand debut at Paris Haute Couture Week earlier this month. The collection is inspired by the timeless grandeur of centuries-old temple sculptures in southern India and transformed motifs of carved stone, sacred architecture and goddess imagery into exquisitely embroidered ensembles and sculptural couture that celebrated India's rich artistic heritage. Speaking on this designer Rahul Mishra said, “Bringing DEVI home feels like the show finally completing itself. It started with a stone figure carved a thousand years ago… A carver takes stone away to find the figure. We add. Thread over thread, until embroidery starts reading as stone.”
More than a fashion presentation the finale unfolded as an immersive theatrical experience that echoed with a similar presentation at the Paris Haute Couture Week. In the unconventional runway finale, Sobhita Dhulipala's appearance was conceived as a performance in motion. Starting with a pared-back silhouette, her look gradually evolved through sculptural couture, layered embellishments and ceremonial styling, revealing a commanding goddess-inspired feminine form leaving the audience in awe.
